Who We Are

Mission Statement

Access of Louisiana Federal Credit Union’s focus is on our members. Our goal is to provide our members with low-cost, high-quality financial services in a friendly, personal environment.

We have made exceptional progress over the years in expanding our services and keeping up with the demands of technology. We are aware that we could not have achieved such success without you- the members or our volunteers.

A special THANK YOU to all of our dedicated volunteers who give of their time for the benefit of YOUR Credit Union.

Our History

Access of Louisiana Federal Credit Union is a full service, not-for profit financial cooperative with over 3850 members and $45,000,000 in assets founded in 1955 by employees of the Olin Corporation as Olin Employees LC Federal Credit Union.  Over the years we have expanded our field-of–membership to include many other diverse groups and continue to grow today.

At the formation of the credit union in 1955, E.A. “Tug” Revelle became the first president and G.W. McInnis also served as manager. The first meetings were held in the personnel office of Olin until the move to a mobile home building by the plant gate.

In 1992 a decision was made to move Olin Employees LC FCU to a permanent structure in Westlake which was better suited to supply services desired by the members. In 1993 West Calcasieu Cameron Hospital (WCCH) Credit Union merged into our operation thus creating a second branch in which to service our members.

By 1994 the doors to our new office in Westlake were opened.  In 2004 Local 106 Credit Union merged into our operation thus creating a third office in Lake Charles. In 2009, a new location on Maplewood Drive was opened.  That same year the name was changed to Access of Louisiana Federal Credit Union.

In February 2011, NCUA granted approval of a community charter in Calcasieu Parish, which will allow individuals who live, work, worship and attend school in the parish, to join.   The new charter has and will enable us to help many people looking for affordable financial services.

In August 2017, L C Municipal Federal Credit Union merged into our operation, providing a remote service location for Lake Charles city employees.
