December 21, 2020 – New Main Office Drive-Thru is Open!

November 24, 2020 – Sulphur Office Lobby Reopens

SULPHUR LOBBY IS NOW OPEN! We are thankful this week as we are able to welcome our valued members back into our lobby, in a socially-distanced manner. Germ shields are installed and hand sanitizer is available in the lobby and loan offices. Masks are required to enter the lobby. If you are ill, please visit us in drive-thru. Spread the word!

We have resumed normal credit union operations following Hurricanes Laura and Delta. While repairs are ongoing to repair damage to our Sulphur location, our Kirby Street office is scheduled to open by the end of November.

October 7, 2020 – Mandatory Evacuation/Hurricane Delta - Sulphur Office Closing Today at 5pm Until Monday October 12th

Due to the rapidly changing conditions surrounding Hurricane Delta, and concern for the safety of our members and staff, our office will close at 5pm today, expecting to return to normal business hours on Monday, October 12th. Offsite Operations will continue to operate normally on Thursday and Friday.

October 5, 2020 – Credit Union Update - Sulphur Drive Thru Opens with Normal Business Hours

While we continue working remotely to ensure the best member experience possible at this time, our Sulphur Drive Thru is now open regular business hours.

Monday, Wednesday-Friday 8:30am-5:00pm
Tuesday 9:30am-5:00pm

As of today, our Common Street office in Lake Charles is permanently closed. Night drop received thru this morning has been processed; night drop is also permanently closed.

Our Kirby Street office in Lake Charles is expected to open in November.

September 9, 2020 – Credit Union Update - Office Operations

As of September 8, 2020, we are continuing to work remotely answering your calls and performing other credit union operations. Both of our offices in Sulphur and on Kirby Street in Lake Charles have sustained moderate damage. We will provide an expected open date of our offices as soon as the assessments are complete. Once we can open our offices safely and securely, we look forward to serving you all in person once again. We appreciate your patience as our staff works thru the many calls and messages and do our best to provide the help you need.

September 3, 2020 – CO-OP Shared Branch Network Access is now available!

If you are not located in the Calcasieu area, you can visit a CO-OP shared branch in the network (Orange and DeRidder are closest to Calcasieu) or other location that is near where you may have evacuated. You can make deposits & withdrawals on savings or checking, loan payments to available loans and more. For mortgage loan payments, you can deposit a payment in your savings or checking account and we can transfer the funds for you (mortgage loans cannot be paid thru the CO-OP Shared Branch network).

PLEASE SHARE THIS POST! Other area credit unions are also on the CO-OP Shared Branch network... CSEFCU, Pelican State CU, Northrup Grumman and more. Find a shared branch location near you and call them to see if another credit union you use is on the network.

September 3, 2020 – USPS Local Mail Delivery

Members have contacted us regarding items being delivered by mail, such as new ATM/debit cards and renewed cards expiring soon, account statements, etc. See USPS info excerpted as of 8/30/20 for our area below:

All Post Offices in the Louisiana District are resuming retail and delivery operations, with the exception of the following Post Offices that have an alternate site listed:

  • No 706 Post Offices will be accepting drop shipments until further notice.
  • Lake Charles Drew Station, 5000 Lake St., 70605 and Cameron Post Office, 144 Adam Roux St., 70631-9998 - All operations are temporarily suspended. An alternate location for both offices is Lake Charles Post Office, 921 Moss St., 70601-9998. Hours are Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday, 8 a.m. to 12 p.m.
  • Westlake Post Office, 1504 Guillory St., 70669-9998 and Hackberry Post Office, 904 Main St., 70645-9997 - All operations are temporarily suspended. An alternate location for both offices is Sulphur Post Office, 800 S Port Oak Rd., 70663-5244. Hours are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and Saturday, 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
  • Ragley Post Office, 7619 Hwy 190, 70657 and Dry Creek Post Office, 8243 Hwy 113, 70637 - All operations are temporarily suspended. An alternate location for both offices is Dequincy Post Office, 215 College St., 70633. Hours are Monday through Friday, 8:45 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and Saturday, 9:30 a.m. to 12 p.m.

August 31, 2020 – Credit Union Update – Emergency Relief Options

Due to Hurricane Laura, all credit union offices are closed. We will establish a temporary location until power is restored to our credit union offices. Assistance is available by calling 337-533-1808.

EMERGENCY SOLUTIONS
Access of Louisiana FCU remains as focused as ever on the financial wellness of the community we serve. We encourage our members to utilize our electronic services: CUeCall, AccessMe24/7, iAccessCU Bill Pay and ATMs. We have also implemented several solutions to address your financial needs during this situation. If you need assistance not provided for below, please contact us for help at 337-533-1808 or www.access.coop.

1. TWO MONTH LOAN DEFERRAL*. For qualified, existing loans, the due date as will be advanced two months automatically (for loans due August 31, 2020, the new due date is October 31, 2020). Refer to your next account statement for new due date(s).

2. LATE FEES WAIVED. All unpaid late fees on all qualified, existing loans made thru August 16th, will be waived, as well as no late fees assessed thru October 31, 2020.

3. EMERGENCY LOANS. There are new loan options to help you make ends meet and put your mind at ease during this time. The following members-only loan specials will have no payment for 60 days and no credit report required:

Loan Option 1: Up to $800, 12-month term, .001%APR (0%)**
Loan Option 2: Up to $1000, 12-month term, 1.99%APR**

We also have a solution for new members**. Please contact us so we can see how our new loan solutions can help you!

4. LUCKY LAGNIAPPE FEES WAIVED***. Now thru October 31, 2020, you may withdraw from your Lucky Lagniappe savings account without a withdrawal fee, regardless of your anniversary date.

5. CHRISTMAS CLUB FEES WAIVED***. Now thru October 31, 2020, you may withdraw from your Christmas Club savings account without a withdrawal fee.

* Mortgage, Land and Home-Equity loans do not qualify. Please contact us to discuss options for these types of loans. Loans covered by legal action are excluded. Some restrictions may apply. For qualified loans, as the member, you understand that although no loan payment will be required for two month(s), interest will be charged on the unpaid balance from the date of last payment and will be taken at the time your next regular loan payment is due. This extension is not a release from responsibility for the interest charge during the months payments are skipped. The provisions of your original agreement remain in full force and effect. You agree that you will resume making scheduled payments beginning with the payment due during the month following the deferral and you will make all scheduled payments due thereafter. You also understand that if you have GAP coverage on your vehicle loan, the skipped payment(s) on that loan may affect the benefit amount. Please refer to your GAP protection documents. **APR=Annual Percentage Rate. Member-only loan options are at a fixed rate. See credit union for details regarding new member emergency loan special. Some restrictions may apply. ***Withdrawal restrictions still apply. The provisions of your original agreement remain in full force and effect.

August 29, 2020 – Disaster Recovery Resources Available for our Members

Hello, Credit Union Family! We are hard at work to bring you resources that will help to get you thru the aftermath of Hurricane Laura. Check back here for more information on relief options available, to be posted Monday, August 31st.

Until then, tell us where you are, how you are and what you need! We're here to help. Here are a few resources available so far...

LOCAL ASSISTANCE-Call 211 or text 898-211 for disaster resources available thru United Way.

STATE ASSISTANCE-The Disaster Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (DSNAP) provides eligible low-to-moderate-income households who do not currently receive benefits with help buying groceries because of lost income or damages during a disaster. Everyone in affected areas is encouraged to register in advance at http://www.dcts.la.gov/dsnap. Current SNAP recipients do not need to register.

FEDERAL ASSISTANCE-FEMA Disaster Assistance has been approved for our area. Visit https://www.disasterassistance.gov/ and enter your City/State or ZIP to see if your address qualifies and apply. Our routing number is 265274736. Please confirm that you enter your account number accurately so any deposits are not delayed.
